Hey,
I'm starting to organize all my music correctly and tracks that are by an artist and in an album are pretty easy to organize but I also ahve a whole load of tracks which are all soundtracks from a place, I want them all under the same artist but they don;t sorta belong in any sort of album. They are just pretty much bunged together. I do want them to show up correctly in Media Centre and stuff like that though. Also with the cover art. Where a few of these tracks are all from the same place, do I use the logo of the place as the cover art for all the tracks from that place or do I use the individual logo for each track?

I used MP3Tag and renamed the Album Artist to Soundtrack or Game Soundtrack or Compilations to acheive this for all my odds and sods and it works quite well as I mainly use that view in Media Center for music. I'd be interested to know if others have a better way of doing it.

Basically, all the ones I am struggling to organise are recordings of soundtracks from rides at theme parks from around the world as I am a Coaster Enthusiast and it's just confusing how to organise them. Any other suggestions?

You could either have 1 album with album artists for the theme park and individual track names for the rides or have the same artist name e.g. Theme Park Rides and individual albums for the theme parks.

It could go something like this (I'm basing this on itunes organisation):

Album Artist: Theme Park Rides, etc
Album: Name of Theme Park (individual albums will appear under the Theme Park Rides artist)
Artist: Name of Theme Park Ride
Name: Track title (the ride might have more than 1 theme).

You could then have album art for the album (a logo or pic of the theme park) and each track (all the tracks from the same roller coaster will have the same album art - again, a logo or pic).

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll look into it. You said I could ahve one pic for the album (namely the theme park) and another for each track (namely each ride)

How can I assign both an album cover image and a track cover image?

Yeah, think I've just confused myself there!

The tracks will have the same art as the album!

It's either:

Album Artist: Theme Park Rides
Album: Theme Park Name (with album art - theme park logo)
Artist: Roller coaster name
Track names

or:

Artist: Theme Park Name (start them off with the same title so the appear next to each other e.g. Theme Park - Orlando, etc)
Album: Roller Coaster name (with album art - roller coaster logo)
Track names

Still had to edit that... need more coffee!
