I've switched over from Winamp to WMP11 recently, as I much prefer the library interface. But, it's a little too bloated and slow (shock horror). Also, it's really slow to detect and add new music that's added (unless I drag it in manually).

I've had a go with Songbird, and aren't really keen on it - but it's still early days for it so far.

I don't like iTunes, and Foobar is too much messing around with custom scripts and plugins to get how you want it.

Are there any other good alternatives? I'm specifically after something with a good album/artist browser? Similar to WMP11's, but a but quicker and not as bloated overall :)

Also, playing windows media streams would be good too, Winamp and Songbird didn't like that.

Suggestions?
Thanks

iTunes is the daddy of music players tbh, makes my enormous library managable, podcast support is great, DAAP is great, winner.

Looking for similar myself. I use xmplay on windows and was quite happy until I started using Amarok on linux. Now I find xmplay just to basic wrt library etc.

I haven't used it in a while but Musicmatch Jukebox wasn't too bad, although to unlock some of the extras you need to pay.

songbird should be awesome when its released

using winamp at the moment until its out

manually managed then adding to winamp (not library) is how i use it
