Music playback software - iTunes?

Obsessed with using iTunes for using for listening to music. Thought there must be a better alternative out there? I've just re-installed Windows 8 and looking for an alternative

What do you guys use and why? I was thinking of using Winamp, however, that's quite early 00ties for my liking?

Don't have a specific iPod or anything to use, but if i did have an iPod, would have to be compatible with it.

TBH iTunes is the way to go.

Personally I cannot stand iTunes. I would suggest having a look at Media Monkey or Foobar2000.

Itunes for me , but I own a Ipod and also use it for airplay to my zeppelin air.

Don't see nothing wrong with Itunes and it is fairly sleek and simple since the latest update
