music plays when i go online !

anyone have and idea what could be causeing this, when i go online randomly when i visit websites music just starts playing, i tried task manager it shows no players running , i quit out of quicktime but still cannot suss out where its coming from, ran adaware and avg they find nothing.

it only does it online, it sound like a radio feed, i looked in rss feeds and i have none setup, if i shut explorer down it still plays even when i cut the connection, driving me mad now.
 
have you checked you havent got the music set as a sound to play when you open your browser or start navigation in the windows sound settings from the control panel?

My thoughts too, can't think of any other reason either if there are no players exe's running in task manager, unless it is something malicious.
 
thanks for the replies so far i checked all your suggestions, still have the problem, 1 thing i did was open up task manager and noticed i had 2 iexplorer.exe listed in the program list when the mystery music started playing another one appeared i right clicked an cancelled it then the music stopped.

i reset explorer to factory defaults, and tried but it still happens, its as thought something on my pc is triggering an internet connection, anyone have some suggestions as whats the best software to check for this, have ran adaware and avg.

turn off system restore, then install, update & run..

nod32 antivirus
spybot s&d
avg antispyware (remove afterwards)
adaware se
