I just bought a Yamaha NP-30 "Portable Grand" keyboard to play piano on, but I was wondering if any of you out there know of some good software that I can use to record from it onto the PC ??

I bought a MIDI to USB adapter, plugged it in, and windows (xp) seemed to install it all automatically. However, when I tried to get it working using the Reason music production software it didn't seem to work. It picked up the device, but the keyboard wasn't listed as one of the standard models so I had to add it as a standard midi controller.

Any ideas where I might be going wrong? Anyone here use Reason? Anyone know why Reason doesn't seem to support Yamaha keyboards?

Maybe if you could suggest some other software that I could try as well.

Cheers for any help
