It's not often I directly ask for music suggestions, but I feel I might aswell give it a shot :p

I'm currently enjoying quite mellow rock, acoustic, indie kinda stuff (not the best description ever).

A quick idea of what I'm enjoying atm:

Jack's Mannequin
Creed
Citizen Hope*
Dream Theater
Switchfoot
Jimmy Eat World
The Fray
Sister Hazel
Cary Brothers*
Joseph Arthur*
etc

I'm basically looking for more stuff along these lines. Any suggestions? (try to avoid really obvious suggestions like 'Counting Crows', 'Staind', etc) :)

TIA

* Shamelessly whored from Scrubs' vol 2 soundtrack :p

P.S.

I did discover these fine folk around summer time, so have a listen if you're interested: http://www.myspace.com/enolafall

From the bands I like/recognise on that list, I would suggest

Our Lady Peace
3 Doors Down
Cartel
Everclear
Live
Third Eye Blind

and a bit poppier, but really liking the Boys Like Girls album at the moment

I've only got the one album by Death Cab For Cutie ('Plans'), but if its mellow indie you want then it's absolutely spot on. Great band

You might want to check out all the other big-ish Canadian indie bands too.

I'm really liking 'Death Cab For Cutie' and 'Cold War Kids' :)

Also got hold of some 'Poets Of The Fall' recently - awesome stuff!

Hootie are a lot like 'Sister Hazel' too!

Definately check out motion city soundtrack...as im sat here in my tshirt :D

Also

Graham Colton Band
Better Than Ezra
Vertical Horizon
The Verve Pipe
Nine Days
Matt Wertz
Matt Nathanson
Rhett Miller
Brandtson
longview

All classics, but all fantastic especially along the lines of what you're listening to

Check out a band called "Motion City Soundtrack". :)

Death Cab For Cutie are ace btw.

I've known of MCS for about two years now, got both their albums. Not really into their stuff atm.

EDIT:

Hmm, 'Ben Harper' isn't too bad, a bit folky though.
