yes, devote your life to a game that is not much better than a glorified instant messenger program and will cost you £170 a year to sit on your buttocks killing orcs untill you manage to "level up"...


Fear does not require an uber pc to play, it will run quite nicely on high @ 1280x1024 on a 7600GT and anything over 1.5gig of ram.
 
I didn't like BF2142, it took away the smoothness of the battles in BF2, it wasn't any fun any more. BF2, however, there was always a way of getting into the fray. In BF2142, the weapons all feel like rubbishy pea-shooters, and the crosshairs are all really hard to aim with. In BF2, the weapons have POWER!!!! The Crosshair is good to aim with, and it's customizable. But, seeing as I've only played the BF2142 demo, I might actually like the full game, and these bits might be ignored. I severely doubt that 2142 will match the awesomeness that is 2. Prey is a good game, it's one of those games that very few people have heard of. Just like Mafia. Mafia is awesome, even if it is old. It's so old it will even work on my old PC, which has a 16meg Voodoo 3dfx 3, and a 500Mhz P3! Mafia is awesome though, and should not be lost in the deep, dark void that is time.

IMO the multiplayer is great...especially CTF.
 
I found Oblivion crap. Turns out I don't like offline RPGs.

Check out HL, HL2, HL2:EP1, CSS, DODS, COD, BF2 (BF2142 is just BF2 reskinned and modded... shhh), Medieval 2 total war, and a few others.

you are right. 2142 doesnt come anywhere near bf2 in terms of gameplay but its still an okay game. i miss bf2 :(

I would say Raven Shield but it looks terribly dated now. I also think Far Cry had the potential to be something incredible, but they ruined it with the monsters thing. The Multiplayer also had great potential, but it never really caught on and not enough people had fast internet back then.
