Wretch 32 Ft Example - Unorthodox (I object to this one for nicking the riff from the Stone Roses but it's catchy)

If you're happy with more European pop style then
Edward Maya & Vika Jigulina - Stereo Love
Inna - Sun Is Up
Alexandra Stan - Lolipop or Get Back

I'm not convinced any of these will be classics but they're entertaining enough to listen to for a while.

At the risk of being painfully cliched, two excellent indie-pop songs from the mainstream are:

The Killers - Mr. Brightside
The Fratellis - Chelsea Dagger

Both are great, if not seriously overplayed
