Must-have Wii games...

Rayman - Rabid Rabbids (1 & 2). Get the friends around, apply alcohol and have a laugh!

1 is very good and the better in my opinon whereas 2 is more multi-play orientated.

i suspect ops wife has been conned into the wii helps you stay fit and active crap

i remember when "ghost squad" came out and it was hailed as some awesome instant classic , how many levels does it have again? lol ive seen longer game demo's than most wii games

I could list more than 5 classics on the wii but I doubt he would be able to play them all..

WarioWare smooth Moves
Metroid 3 (and Metroid Prime collection)
Punch Out
A Boy and his Blob
Disaster Day of Crisis
Wii Fit

I own all of those and enjoy them (some of them not as much as others but still fantastic games!)

plus Sin and Punishment 2, new Super Mario Bros, Galaxy 2, Monster Hunter 3, Metroid Other M, Epic Mickey, Red Steel 2 (which I'm skeptical about as 1 was a poor game imo), The Grudge Ju-On. Those are not out yet but I'm very excited about.

games I dont own, Cursed Mountain, Klonoa, Boom Blox etc..

plus Virtual Console and I'm betting their are a lot more games I've missed out, I seriously dont see how people miss so many epic games on the platform, I've always said their are many gems on the wii but people don't look deep enough.
 
My wife and I both enjoy the Wii and I comfortably own more Wii games than I do PS3 or Gamecube games. It's not chock full of the AAA titles people salivate over like CoDMW2 etc, but it does have its gems and titles that have made it 'socially acceptable'.

Anyway, games I'd recommend based on what my wife (and 'non-gamers') enjoy on the Wii:

Wii Fit (Plus)
EA Active
Mario Kart
Smash Bros
House of the Dead: Overkill
Rayman Raving Rabbids 1-3
Wario Ware
Mario and Sonic at the Olympics
Wii Sports (Resort)
Wii Play
Guitar Hero 3-5
Punch-Out
Zack and Wiki
Super Bomberman (VC)
Donkey Kong Country 1-3 (VC)

We own all of these and a good proportion of them are regularly played. It's not a 360 or PS3, but it certainly deserves its place under my TV.
