As they are so cheap now I've got a craving to collect the best X-Box 1 games that are compatible with my 360, what are the must haves ?,

http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/games/backwardcompatibilitygameslist.htm

I currently own,

Halo 1
Halo 2
Burnout Take Down

I did buy Timespitters 2 today for £2.99 but was shocked to find it was'nt on the compatiblilty list when I got home :(.

I wouldn't bother, the backwards compatibility on the Xbox 360 is an utter joke.

I ended up keeping my Xbox rather than selling it just because of that. I can't get widescreen-capable games to run in anything other than 4:3 over HDMI, most of the games run slow (much slower than on my Xbox) and upscale really poorly. I just can't really see any good points to it.

Shenmue 2 obviously springs to mind.
Ninja Gaiden
OutRun 2 purely because it has the 1986 original in it

I was tempted to pick up a cheap xbox 1 but the games just look so poor on LCD when compared to playing the same game through component on the 360, I know the games don't run perfectly but considering what it's actually doing I think is quite impressive, It can't be easy making a game that was designed to work with an Intel CPU and nvidia gpu work easily on a hardware platform based on powerPC architecture and ATI gpu.

shenmeu was awesome on the dreamcast, definitely could be worth another play through, Ninja Gaiden, I hear people go on about that game all the time !!, is it really that good ?.

Ninja Gaiden
Mercenaries
Pirates!
Conker: Live and Reloaded (funniest game I've ever played)
Deathrow
Fable: The Lost Chapters
GTA: The Trilogy
Jade Empire
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 1 + 2

There's at least 300 hours worth of gameplay there to keep you going :)

I liked Star Wars: Republic Commando and Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance. The latter is not on the list. Bummer.

Only games i have tried;
-Halo 1: Works, but in some places it really does become unplayable. Bear in mind i only tried this on co-op though (connected via VGA)
-Ninja gaiden: Works fine for the most part, but there is a couple of levels where there are a lot of enemies on screen where the game jumps pretty badly

In the end i didnt sell my original xbox

Morrowind GOTY
Deus Ex: Invisible War
Star Wars KOTR 1+2
Halo 1 + 2
Shenmue 2
Splinter Cell 1-3
Doom 3 + Resurrection of Evil
All GTA games
Pirates!
1 of the Worms games (take your pick)
Soul Calibur 2 or 3
The Sims

All I can think of right now worth buying today. Riddick and HL2 were great but there are new 360 versions coming so not worth buying them.

I don't know which of these are compatible, but it's easy to look up.
