I’ve been told to cut down on buying take outs. I buy at least one take out a week, pizza, Chinese etc.. I’ve been known to even go out and buy KFC, just because I’m feeling peckish.

At around £20 a throw for the both of us, I’ve been told we need to stop it, but I don’t want to. Dominos Pizza tastes good, Chinese food tastes good. KFC is dirty and nasty but I want to buy it.

Anyone got good tips on how to stop buying junk food, take outs etc.? I’m spending around £100 - £120 a month on junk. My bin is always full of old pizza boxes, yet I’m so thin. Dominos know me by first name now..!! Speed dial for pizza

Neither of us in the house are putting weight on, yet we eat so badly. Even my dogs are eating badly. On top of the junk take outs, I also spend money on crisps, chocolate etc, and munch away when watching DVD’s. I have a full cooked dinner, and then still feel hungry…

What do you all spend in take out, monthly food bills etc.. ? Me, I’m running into around £400 a month for two of us. Plus doggy food..

Take out, Take away all the same to me, it's easy overpriced food to me... :D

But no, I agree I've got to kick this habbit.. Been having take out (sorry take aways) for years, and I've got to stop it..

Hmm... I fancy a Pizza right now.. You think I'm joking, I honestly do want to go and buy a Pizza in my lunch break. I'm addicted to junk food...

I should be well over weight, but I'm not.

The problem is, I'm taking a packed lunch to work, eating this and still feeling hungry. We have cooked meals every night, yet we sit in front of the TV watching DVD's and eating yet more junk.

So it's not due to not eating proper meals. Take aways are costly, but I'm worried that I'm eating a chicken dinner, home cooked and then about 30 minutes afterwards tucking into a whole bar of whole nut, and a big bag of walkers crisps...

I've done this for years, but last night we both decided it's too much.. Need someway to balance this out..

So basically we have both got to eat breakfast (healthy) take a packed lunch and then eat a good meal at night and that's it.

Well I'll try, we are not going to go out tonight or get take away, instead we are both going to cook, eat this and "Try" not to eat afterwards. Tomorrow, I'll get out of bed 20 mins early, and make breakfast before going to work.

We have got to stop it, not only is it costing but this comfort eating cannot be healthy... I only said that last night, plus the savings will be nice. always looking to cut down monthly outgoings..

thanks all..

Ah no, we are going to do this together. We are going to cut out all the junk, starting tomorrow (she doesn’t know yet, but she soon will) we are having breakfast, a healthy breakfast of cereal and semi skimmed milk, with orange juice.

Then ham salad or something in the sandwiches and yoghurts for pack up, and then our normal cooked meal at night.

This is it, no more take aways, no more Mc Donald’s when walking around town, no more KFC. This is going to catch up on me, I can feel it. I’m always hungry, so tonight I’ll drop off at the supermarket, and this weekends £20 on junk is being spent on fruit and healthy eating…

Wish me luck all..

who you tryin to convince? us or yourself :p

PS> take a look at the diet thread someone has started!

Erm.. I'll let you know tomorrow if I'm still alive after I come home with Healthy food instead of crisps and choccy bars.. :D

No really, this has been a long time coming, we discussed it last night. We know it's wrong, I think it's all because we don't really drink a lot and don't smoke so just eat to feel happy. I mean, a meaty pizza with double cheese don't half taste nice.. And then Tesco finest cheese cake right afterwards, followed by a bag of bacon rashers when watching a DVD isn't a good idea really..

Not to mention the 2 ltr bottle of coke we drink between us.. But we are both so thin.. How I don't know..
