I think the 435d has a lot more torque and an automatic gearbox than the stock RS, so in theory both cars stock they should be very evenly matched, believe their both AWD too.
CP375 will give you an edge for sure as long as you row through the gears quick enough.
Every car should come from the factory more power.

The fact so many manufacturers are using them suggest to me Pzero must be selling them to OEM's for pennies.
My mates new M5 has the, it really is absolutely freaking stupid to put a 560BHP RWD car on a tyre that cannot even handle its power in the dry, the car is an absolute handful because of them.
He is gonna get it on MPSS ASAP to improve matters though the new M cars are a bit of a handful in anything but perfect conditions due to the power and torque they now have. My little old M3 is devastating to them in the wet weather.
Yes, if they did a DSG, DCT, PDK style version it would be quicker!
But Ford went the right way and kept it as pure as possible, though the option would have course be nice.
More options mean higher manufacturing costs.
Manual all the way though, Ford know whats right when it comes to performance cars
It is also a real big reason for the RS and Mustang success. It really is like Ford taking a big middle finger to the EU by giving us V8's and manuals.

The point and benefit with the FPM375 kit is a lot LESS Rowing.... only a small top end gain, but the area under the curve is a large increase. so mid range is really sweet now.
Diesels are torque monsters so matching that with a "small" petrol edge is near impossible. A mate has A5 v6 with Revo S1.... about 600NM !! That's one hell of a shove in the back when rolling.
Thankfully RS comes with MPSS as standard.
DSG would have been much quicker......and boring... (Wife has Ibiza Cupra DSG... just not natural)
Agreed, DSG is quick but boring.
PDK is as quick and a little more involving.
DCT is the sweet spot, full manual mode is as good as it gets.
The only way your getting better is the older SMG system for involvement but it is un-refined and poor as an auto, DCT on the whole was a big step forward. Or of course a full blown sequential though they are a bit much for going to shops and back.
The RS would not suffer as badly as the Mustang does on Pzero due to AWD but yes be glad you got MPSS they are simply a superior tyre at everything, they even last twice as long.
Seriously disappointed they are being phased out as the new PS4 and PS4 S seem to be very hard to get and only a limited amount of sizes available so I do hope MPSS will remain in production in the sizes not offered in PS4 and PS4 S fitment.
As right now I know of no better tyre than the MPSS, the CSC6 is better in some aspets but weaker in others, Michelin really cleaned up with MPSS as its not just the internet tyre of choice it is pretty much "THE TYRE OF CHOICE" full stop.

DSG is the smoothest, problem being it is always bloody smooth, shifts pretty much go un-noticed, I guess this is their aim and most will like that.
PDK is the same, but at least in Sports Plus mode when you pull for the next gear you get a little thump in the back, it is artificial but it adds to the experience. Also in Sports Plus mode it will hold a gear, even bounce of the limiter etc. so you have to pull the paddle.
M DCT, those artificial thuds have different severity settings, they can be smooth and gentle, or it can be like being kicked in the back, either way you have control. Again you hold a gear, bounce of the limiter etc.
It is all down to software and for me who like an automated gearbox to feel involving when in manual mode or like race car, the M DCT is the best, also the system in the R35 GTR is very good as well, though it is a bit more clunky more like older school BMW SMG2/3 systems, but they are fun and suite the car well.
How was that?
Was like a raw version of an RS4 (V8 NA 412BHP version), you felt the speed and acceleration more in the Skyline due to the Turbo and well crap interior and the Skyline was much much happier at the limits you could push it way beyond and have it sliding all over the place. The RS4 on the other hand was very refined, did not feel that quick though it was, but the RS4 if you pushed beyond its limits just seem to well fall apart, albeit its limits were high and most would not find them on the road. The R34 Skyline had slightly lower limits, but you could in the end drive it faster as it was way more confident inspiring at the limit and did not fall apart.
The R34 Skyline is still a great car and was a car you grab by the neck and drive the wheels of it, by modern standards a lot would leave it. As I say I had it same time I got rid of my M3 CSL and the two cars went about their ways differently, if both drivers were professional and it was dry the CSL would murder it.

If a Mustang is more of a Cruiser what the hell is a Focus RS? It is far from a nimble hatchback when it weighs the same as a mid size estate!
A car can weigh 1,000,000 kg and still not be a cruiser so I am not sure how weight is the only criteria.
Gear ratios, suspension setup, induction/exhaust noise, seats etc would determine that more than weight.
