Mustang vs Focus RS

My experience so far is, most people don't recognise the Mustang logo. Someone even thought I was driving a Ferrari

That sounds great if you buy cars so you can tell other people what you have.

An awful lot of people do just that, probably the majority of car buyers if we're honest.

Don't think people really compare there cars like that..

Do you think of a BMW M3 as just a supped up 318 ?

Yes because that's what it is, thing is the 3'er is a good car in base spec, not a low price rental car.

BWM, Merc, Audi are only expensive because of the badge. They are far from the most reliable and a lot of other makes are just as well made these days. Even interior wise.

I'd take a Volvo or a Nissan over a German car any day if I wanted something that's going to last. Or a fast Ford if I want something easy to work on and tune (German cars are NOT easy to work on due to some nonsense design choices!).

Would get the focus rs over a v8 mustang, if I was to get a muscle car I would get a real one like the challenger hellcat ;) the focus rs is faster and it has a turbo and turbos make everything better. I would have to have it remapped some that it had some lag and only came on at 4000rpm though otherwise is too boring.

If that was not an option I would buy an impreza rb320 or p1 because then I can't even loose money unless I manage to roll it over or climb a tree.

Went for a test drive in the RS this morning, and made my final decision. Big smile on my face on the way home, can you guess what my decision was...

Going with neither because someone saw a trailer for the Friday Grand Toury show and thought they'd make a catfish post about it.

I think Fox's point is don't post like a big man about how simple it is to import when you are not in that position. Opinions like that should only be given by people facing that reality.

When I purchased an MX5 I had a ton of people tell me I should have gotten a Supra TT or Scooby STI, these people either drove 1.2 fiestas or didn't drive at all. Reality is different to your fantasy garage.

Totally agree, I drive a Golf because if I was to get a sports car, I won't be fannying around with some nonsense like a 911, i'd only get a real one like a Ferrari 488.

Screw the hellcat - while not technically a muscle car the viper is (probably) far more satisfying to drive once you master it :D
