He's definitely going to prison this time around but should we mute his music? I mean yeah he's a paedophile, serial abuser and not 100% in the head and he deserves to go to prison. But does his music deserve to never be heard again?

For those that don't know he's had sex with 14 year olds for like 20 years now. Even pee'd on them. Kept them locked up. Force them to do whatever they are told and call him daddy.

Apparently he was sexually abused when he was 8 until he was 11. His brother was sexually abused by an older man too when young and his other brother is in prison. So yeah he is this way because of the upbringing he had then add fame into the mix then he went wacko jacko. Talking about Jacko why is there no Mute Wacko Jacko? Did you know R Kelly wrote "I am not alone" which is an MJ song?

Thoughts on should his music be permanently muted?

All I know from him is "I believe I can fly" which is a classic that I still like. Personally, he can **** right off though.

Listening to someones music isn't an endorsement of everything they ever did in their personal life, R. Kelly's music hasn't suddenly changed.

I would guess that a large portion of Hollywood and the music industry have convictions for crimes so are we just going to censor everything with a convicted criminal involved in it? the people pushing these campaigns and the corporations who will ultimately enforce it need putting in place by government. I thought we had evolved past mobs going all vigilante on people a few centuries ago, it looks like it just went from pitchforks to a conpiracy to destroy people by attacking their livelihoods.

Punishment for crimes is a matter for the justice system.

yeah i was watching a show on netflix set in china and mongolia. then when the credits came up it was a Harvstein production. I immediately thought I'm surprised this hasn't been pulled. But then should all the actors and the show be punished for the acts of 1 person?

I'd never even heard of him until a few days back when the girlfriend of a mate of mine mentioned him in passing and then made us watch what seemed to be about 300 parts of some comedy song on YouTube.

That album wasn't really like any of his proper stuff though. It was him trying to do something different and it didn't work.

that is well known. he started banging her when she was 13 and got her pregnant at 15 which is why they married in secret and falsified her age in documents. she then got an abortion and annulled the marriage when the family stepped in. her uncle is famous within the music industry and introduced her to r kelly and this was essentially what outed him at the start. before this nobody had a clue. so you are a bit late to the post with that one. he did most of her work until they split. damon dash was her manager and also her partner at one point too. he hated jay z for working with r kelly and kept quiet because it would effect how much money they were all making. he didn't like it and tried but essentially everyone told him to stfu.

You gotta see this. He goes full ragemode at 6:20 He's currently in jail and won't be released until he pays child support arrears to the tune of £122,000. He also faces 3 to 7 years for each of 10 counts of sexual abuse.

i thought he was out on bail? some woman has been getting grief for bailing him out. she owns a restaurant now her restaurant is being boycotted for helping him.

the fact he married a 15 year old illegally and forged papers to say she was 18 this was nearly 30 years ago too.

a member of his entourage also stated on the record r kelly told him whilst extremely emotional that he thought he had gotten her pregnant when she was 14.

also the video of him having sex and peeing on an underage girl where his lawyer said it was simply a person that looked like him and could even be his brother but it wasn't him.

Yet people happily listen to Wacko Jacko even though he slept with much younger.

A lot of people iirc from my school days were sexually active at the age of 13/14+. Even had girls drop out of school due to pregnancy. I believe there is a difference both are wrong just in varying degrees. 1 year old babies for instance should be insta jail for life and I can't believe he was protected for 5+ years by anyone. If that is true then they all should be prosecuted too. Why aren't protectors or incompetent officers ever prosecuted or reprimanded?

A lot of people are glossing over the fact he was sexually abused as a child and the environment he grew up in. I don't think prison but a mental care facility where counselling and such is offered would have been a better fit for his case. But his case got much worse with time because he was well protected due to money and fame. Also a lot of the women involved were over legal age too like I said not as simple a case as people may be led to believe. He was also a victim and a perpetrator.

The comments about Jackson are weird. Nothing was ever proven, beyond the fact that he was weird, and liked sleepovers with children.

That is known and understood, but there has never been a successful prosecution of Jackson for actual abuse of children. You can choose to believe he was a child rapist, but that is an assumption based on your prejudice, rather than fact.

He settled out of court. Only one reason why you ever do that.

A grown man sleeping with young boys. That's not reliving your childhood no matter how you try and spin it.

Reliving your childhood is going to theme parks not building one and then inviting random kids to it to stay over at your home.

It's essentially like Jimmy saville building a children's hospital wing in his own home but he didn't need to do that they gave him the keys to an actual children's hospital.

He wasn't weird he was a paedophile. You only have to look at how messed up he became over time with his spending, multiple surgeries, changing his skin colour, having fake sham marriages to hide his guilt and there is no way he fathered any of those children either.

All of that adds up. He couldn't have sex with a grown woman and father kids himself? I wonder why?

None of his kids are his biologically.

Those kids some of them are messed up too. I wonder why? He said he wanted to shield them from the media or possibly shield the media from the truth.
