mw2 crashing after installing q6600

just installed a quad q6600 go,with a zalman fan.
temps are cpu 45
core 1 +2 =37
core 3+4 =33

over clocked with a 333mhz fsb
and 4 gig of ram at, 6700 in bios.

modern w2 runs fine all maxed out on my 9800gtx+ 500mb
but after around 30 mins the game freezes while loading next map.
i get message ran out of memory,
before the upgrade my old e4600 ran it fine no crashes,but i now have 4xaa
and all on high,could it be the gfx card thats causing these freezes or my over clock,on the quad.
 
Maybe a reset of MW2's graphics settings might help. Set it to optimal then exit to save. Give it a test and see how it is. Then if it's ok adjust to what you want.

And yes if you've not tested your overclock is stable then check there first.
 
i set specular map in mw2 settings from very high to just high,now its ok.think it must be the 500mb of ram on the 9800gtx read some where mw2 needs 1 gig of memory on gfx card for maxing it out.
