Any technical minded folk could help me out here but, If you was to start a private match with people from your friends list, and you had say friend A, who is a on a 100meg up/down line ( a box that "would have been used fore dedi purposes ) would this be a legimate workaround although youd need to purchase the game on said machine?

Why wouldn't it? if it works correctly then it would pick the quickest upload to host.
A simple macro on the computer to click now and then?
