does it support the 360 controller on the PC version?

i'm not interested in the online play on either tbh due to the obvious for the PC version and the lack of a region filter on the console.

i just want to play the campaign and prefer to do that on the PC but with a controller if i can.

It was possible on COD4 with a bit of messing about but it wasn't supported natively.

Given the trend of 'remove as much as possible' seen on the PC version of MW2 i'd be exceptionally surprised if it now natively supported a controller.

Yes you can.

Though if you only want it for the single player which is very short, Buy it for the 360. At least you can easily re-sell it when your done.

FPS with a controller?! are you for real

yes. are you for real posting this totally pointless comment?

Idea; Buy it for the 360. :D

Why would you want to buy a FPS Pc game and then use a controller with it?

because i want to

yeah, it's why i played COD4 on my 360

This. Now get out!!

fair play. won't bother posting in this forum again. geez!

I dont understand how people can use a controller to play FPS.

Ive tried before and its just to slow and you dont get the free movement a mouse gives you.

Using a controller instead of mouse in FPS on computer is like doing heart transplant with a machete instead of a surgical knife.

Each to their own i guess. I am sure its possible though.

It is a sore point... fps games + controller.

Anyone who thinks they could go into a medium or higher skilled PC fps game where everyone is using freelook and be competitive using a pad is kidding themselves... and compared to the response and freedom of looking around and aiming on a mouse using the controller when you don't have to seems silly.

I feel i have to voice this. Ive been a PC gamer now for 15 years. I have loved using powerful hardware and playing the best gaming has to offer over this period. Problem is last year i was diagnosed with multiple rheumatic conditions of my arms and wrist. I am unable to use a mouse or write with pen for longer than 5 minutes, so could no longer play any shooters (avid CS /Call Of Duty/ TF fan) The pain came to a point when i really considered giving up PC gaming for good. The pain killers stopped working and i was no longer able to play.

I personally can stand consoles and used to mock game pads for FPS's constantly. The ironic thing is that they allowed me to play again, as i can comfortably use them. 360's/PS3 look like turd compared to high end hardware, so i refused to move over. Then i found Pinnacle Game profiler which allowed me to map keys to any pad (be it 360 or PS3 controllers).

What would you do i this situation. Stop playing your favourite games or adapt? Thing is, some people just want to be able to sit back on their sofa, with a HD TV and play their pc with a controller (For me it was just playing FPS's again). Nobody is saying that a controller is better than a mouse, it will never be for precision. In time you adapt and find that the controller isnt so much a burden. Personally, i use a 360 controller with L4D online and im fine.

In respone to the original question, no there is no native support for gamepads in MW2. But you can download Pinnacle http://pinnaclegameprofiler.com/ or Xpadder and use your pad. This will be fine as ive just complete MW2 on regular and now working up the diffuculty levels (plus i cant stand crappy auto aim that the console versions shove on to compensate for lack of mouse)

Some of you guys (actually a lot) can be such utter dicks sometimes. There's a myriad of posts after the OP and it took until the 14th one that he finally got an answer, after a load of snorting and derision.

Jesus Christ.

Ask a silly question get a silly answer :D

I was confused as to whether you were being blasphemous or you actually think you are Jesus by signing off as him

Anyway if you post about using an xbox in a pc forum you are asking for a few sarcastic replies. Im sure none of them are mean spirited. And none use your offensive tone. Chill out.

So you don't think this is mean spirited or an offensive tone???
