MW2 Still Active?

Does anyone know if MW2 is active on PC? I know there was like a third party client or something that was forced to close down [its what I used to use to play it and it had all the DLC etc unlocked, can't remember its name]

So is Vanilla active?

Google fourDeltaOne, formally know as AlterIW.

Actual servers, different game types/modes, custom games etc..

This is the one you want to be playing, substantially more populated that the original one too.

Yep still fairly active, won't take more than a couple of minutes to get on a game.

Ahh, I used to play on AlterIW, so, so much better than the stock game. Sadly this reincarnation looks to be having all the problems of it's predecessors.

It's a shame no one has devised a way to only let people with legit copies of the game/DLC from accessing the service, because as great service as it is it does facilitate and AlterIW used to actively encourage piracy of the game.

They used to have the ligeit system when it was still Alter IW because I used it. Activision got involved and that was that unfortunately. This thing is exactly the same but now you need a 'different' version of MW2. I justify playing this because i've got the Steam one and it's horrible.

Yes I notice there isn't a single reference to CoD anywhere on that site. I never needed any justification, I purchased the game and I'll modify it however I see fit thank you very much.

4M = MW2

5M = MW3
