MW4 beta..WTH!

Just tried to have a quick blast on this ( i know, im late to the game lol ) and apparently i have to update my bios to play it, wth! icant be bothered with all that just to play a game lol never had this with any other game.

Looks like i wont be buying cod ever again lol

Battlefield 6 had something similar, you had to enable a setting in your BIOS for the anti-cheat system to work

Yeah i did that for bf6, so my sucure boot and tmp should already be set ok, it comes up saying bios update and after a search it seems LOADS of people have this and its some sort of gllitch/problem as even after updating there bios it
still says the same thing, im not going through a load of hoops just to play 1 game, is a shame though as looks to be the best cod in a few years.

Why a game should even need access to BIOS level stuff seems a bit sketchy. Most likely it doesn't work for a lot of people because that access is being denied by the firmware (quite rightly).

Anti-cheat. A million "back doors" have been opened up by the time your PC has booted into Windows, back doors that easily defeat ordinary software-level anti-cheat. I don't understand the technicalities of it but the TPM module on your board helps Windows "prove" that that the environment hasn't been tampered with in any way.
This is why we'll never see MW4 on Linux.
