mx-4 paste ok for gpu?

Thinking about replacing the paste on my brothers 7970 it gets abit toasty and want to try drop the temps abit its not far off 80c atm.

I have some artic mx-4 lying around this okay to replace the thermal paste on the gpu?

Yeah, used it on my old 7970. Can't remember if its conductive, but keep it away from the edges of the die to be on the safe side.

I always use MX-4 on both CPUs and GPUs. I have 3 or 4 tubes of it laying around

Yer I've used this before also, but have found IC diamond to be a better performer on gpu's
