I understand there are many who sing the praises of MX-3 over AS5. Arctic Cooling now has a successor to MX-3, MX-4. This new thermal compound improves on MX-3 by spreading, cooling better, and cheaper to buy. Have any forum members put these claims to the test?

I apply all the thermal paste the same way by putting a small amount and letting the heatsink spread it. I did find that it was more viscous so it would be harder to spread by hand.
