MX-5 Adding a LSD

Anyone know how hard / how much it would cost to add a LSD to a MX-5?

Finding a decent one with is getting harder and harder!

You need LSD + Drive Shafts, best to get one from a MK2iS I seem to remember them costing around £300 - £400 with all the bits you need.

Fitting is super easy.

It shouldn't be hard to find a good MX-5 with a Torsen LSD?

Edit: I think you can keep your current diff casing and change the internals, problem is the splines on the LSD diff are different to the open diff irrc, so its best to change the lot.

And you'd need to check/adjust the bearing pre-loads and pinion/crownwheel mesh. Rebuilding diffs is no fun.

Indeed, I'd definitely look at just swapping the whole rear setup not just the differential

Mk1 Torsens can be had for £250 and is a stright swap on a 1.8, if you have a 1.6 you need the driveshafts etc.

MX5 Heaven do them for £250inc + postage (£30ish)
