MX 510 Mouse Problem

Bought one of these form ebay and just come round to try it out

The user says it is "new" and has very good feedback so decided to get one

The mouse double clicks just about everytime i press the buttons, which is far from helpful

Also in the mouse's box there is a receipt from a well known website for the mouse dated back to december 05, so the mouse is quite clearly not new

I have emailed the guy explaining and asking for a refund

If i can sort the mouse out so it does not double click i am mor ethan happy to keep it, as it feels like a lovely mouse...im going to try and find the newest drivers to see if that makes any difference, if not does anyone have any ideas?

This is a software thing i remember having the same problem, Google it and im sure you'll find the fix.

hmm what exactly do i search for ive had a look but cant find anything

its deffo the mouse cos ive plugged a cheapo USB mouse in to see if there was anything wrong with my laptop but its fine

lol i just cant find anything at all :/

im tired though so am probably ove rlooking something, ill owe you one if you can find me the software fix

Ok im draging up some old memorys here but wortha go, If you used to have some other brand of mouse installed did you remove their software (intelipoint type stuff).
Do you have the lastest logitect drivers?
If so check under the Buttons page and that Button one is set to click/select and not anything else. (it can be set to double click)

The more i think of it the more i think it was 2 drivers installed or something for me.

other than that im struggling myself could just be borked.

i had a razer, and am sure i got rid of everything ill have another check though

right i dont think its that, it seems to be when i click with the part closeest to the scrool wheel, which is obviously something to do with the actual mouse

i will await a reply from the guy i bought it off and see what he says about the refund

well its was from ebay like i said, the thing that has annoyed me is, i went back on to check the description again to make sure i didnt pass over anything, the user has a few for sale but he says they are new, and in no way are they new...so im just awaiting his reply as i have asked him for a full refund due to the fact it is NOT new as he stated plus it doesnt work properly anyway

if it worked i wouldnt be bothered, but now i STILL dont have a mouse meaning i cant do the things i need to be doing

Shill him for a refund and give him negative feedback, it's all you can do but it'll leave a stain on his reputation.

well he has said he will give me a full refund, so i wont leave negative feedback maybe just neutral

so now i need ANOTHER new mouse
