MX 518 issue?

In BFBC2 when i zoom in for a kill via the AT4 or sniper rifle sometimes it zooms back out on it's own as if i've pressed the right click!.

Happened with my previous mouse too, any idea why it does this?. Only had the mouse for a few weeks

Some sniper rifle in BFBC2 do unzoom after firing a shot...

Seriously, if it was problem with the mouse, then it would be right-clicking on its own outside of the game as well.
 
Happens with me too and I also use an MX518, albeit a really old one that I got soon after Logitech brought it out long long ago. I just put it down to the game as the mouse has been totally faultless.
 
Err Marine i know that been playing long enough :p, It basically does it on it's own when i haven't even fired yet. True about outside of the game

Amazingly I found out only the other day that performance mice can have a firmware flash, did it to my G5.

Can but try?

Edit, just looked, no firmware update is available.
