Just bought one of these mice and I feel a little bit let down, it doesn’t seem any good on initial use  The sensitivity seems rather poor and the scroll wheel keep messing me about, as I go to use it and it goes all quick and just spins rather than clicking if that makes sense? Also the back and forward buttons on the side are really hard to push in, you have to press it a few times to get the browser to go backwards.

Well I’ve just came from a Razor Krait and it seems a bit of a downgrade :( Disappointed.

Anybody else have one and feel the same?

I feel your pain, I got one of these a week ago (previously had an MX518) and can’t get used to it at all. I keep clicking in the wrong place! Awful mouse tbh.

It is quite bad for what is a lot of money for a mouse! I'm shocked most at the sensitivity of the thing, I mean it doesn’t respond to the smallest of movements something a cheap mouse can do quite comfortably, I have messed with the sensitivity settings but this hasn’t helped :(

Yes, I got one a while back and was similarly disappointed. I also bought the Nano version at the same time. Every so often I find with the MX that I have to click multiple times to get it to do anything, so it's a bit temperamental. To be honest, I much prefer the general feel of my £10 Microsoft black optical mouse.

The scroll wheel settings can be adjusted in set point (referring to how fast it goes till it turns to a flywheel) I've had this mouse a few months and I really like it.

Yeah, what I mean is it always seems to go into the hyper-fast scrolling mode where the scroll wheel just rolls freely, if that makes sense :p

Strange I have one (having had a few) and it's perfect for everything including gaming (Left4Dead OCUKers will confirm this KEKEKE!).

I use uBerOptions to remap the buttons to my liking and it's fine.

One thing people fail to do is disable mouse acceleration in Windows, it is on by default and is a complete waste because it makes the mouse movement very unnatural. I have all that off, set sensitivity to the default "medium" slider and that's that.

I've had the MX1100 too and didn't find it very rewarding in terms of features and performance compared to the MX Revolution. The MX1000 I had before was excellent too but lacked the flywheel which the MX Rev does so well when scrolling large sites.

I got hold of an mx620 about 3 weeks ago and think it's great, the flywheel's a bit too sensitive for me though, so I just flick the switch on the bottom to go back to normal scroll wheel.

I have two of these, one for my laptop and desktop. Both of them are working perfectly, I'm also using uber options to remap buttons.

It's fine for me, you've just got to set it up :p

Mike speaks the truth here.

My MX revolution has been faultless since the day I bought it. I did however spend some time sorting out my mouse options in the accompanying SetPoint software, and the side wheel is brilliant for FOV adjustment sniping in games while the mouse is large enough that my clumsy mitts don't fail me in games (especially UT3!) :P

Best mouse I've ever owned to be honest.

Well I'm glad you said that because I'll be taking delivery of one today! Ordered it to replace my old worn Cordless Click! mouse, and choice was more than a little influenced by glowing OcUK user reviews. It would be a bit annoying to find it cr*p and a string of negative views on here after reading it was supposedly good.

Out of the box I'd rate the mouse 6/10. Set it up properly, best mouse on the market (10/10).

What settings would you recommend then?

Because its horrible with/without the Logitech drivers, with/without mouse acceleration, and every sensitivity setting is either too sensitive or not sensitive enough.

Unfortunately, thats something I cant really help you with :(

Especially when it comes to games, everyone is different when it comes to sensitivity, responsiveness.....

I would start with whats already been recommedned - set all the Windows settings to absolute defaults, and then try using Setpoint to define how your mouse works. Try UberOptions if you need to.

And by defaults I'd recommend mouse acceleration set to none, please don't use it, it is not a natural motion for the mouse pointer and only affects accuracy!
