MX revolution issues

I got an upgrade to my ageing MX700 so thought this would be the logical step in the right direction however it doesnt seem to be.

The pointer is quite erratic and no way as smooth as my old MX700, I'm just wondering if its the surface, i bought a Qpad mat some time ago and worked great with the MX700, Tried different surfaces with this new MX revolution and makes little difference. Also seems a bit laggy with the pointer and not quite accurate as the old one.

Not sure what it could be any ideas? Are the Laser mice a bit more picky on surfaces?

Cheers

I have this mouse and mine is fine...

I did find that when the wireless dongle in the the rear of the board with other devices it causes some issues.. I put it in the front USB and its fine..

During the time I was having issues with button assignments there were a lot of posts on logitech support forums regarding erratic mouse behaviour, i never experienced it but aparently the newer setpoint would fix it check there.

I had similar problems when I first had mine.
As said above move the receiver dongle to a different port or use a usb extension lead and have the receiver dongle on the desk. The latter sorted my problems out. really smooth and precise now

Make sure there's no other wireless devices nearby - the MX can get sensitive. A quick reorganisation of my desk solved the issues I had.

Yeah noticed that too, moved it to the front USB point and the pointer wasn't as jerky but still not as smooth as I'd like. I'll try the usb extender and have it as near to the mouse as possible. The other thing is it doesn't seem to remember my mouse settings after reboot which is annoying.
