I just ordered MX4 thermal compound from ocuk and will test it over the weekend to compare with MX3 and Chillfactor III. Wish me best of luck. And I hope (Rich from ocuk) is right about this beauty MX4 is the best ever. :)

And guess what, it my birthday today! 41 today! :)

He's wrong. MX-3 is the best. :p

But seriously, is your loop so high end that you might notice the less than half a degree difference between MX-3 and MX-4? Is it really worth the cost and the effort?

Hey, it's his hobby so why not have some fun

And happy birthday :)

MX3 v CF3 v MX4 result for i7 920 4.3ghz at 1.29vcore with 1 fan of viper at full max speed:

mx3 idle are 42, 43, 42, 41 and under load 76, 77, 76, 75
cf3 idle are 41, 42, 43, 42 and under load 74, 75, 75, 74
mx4 idle are: 39, 37, 37, 36 and under load 74, 72, 73, 72

mx4 spread out is more easy than mx3 and it better than mx3. Thanks Rich :)

nice bulldog
it's really good to see someone test the differences and then post the results so others know that they are really buying the better product.

also, happy belated birthday :D!

I like the mx4 as it much better and I was surprise to see lower temp max out at around 74C compare to chillfactor 3 at around 75C and the mx3 are 2 degree higher at 77C.

I have to say that mx4 and chillfactor 3 are one of the best but for easy spread out on the cpu is mx4 come out the winner overall.

Happy 41st! Got there in July myself.

I've been thinking of giving the Mx-4 a whirl. Intresting to see those temps in comparison to Mx-3.
