Not sure if this is right section but anyway.

The buttons on the MX518, is the only way to change their function by installing the setpoint drivers? As i don't like how it changes my sensitivity of the mouse when i install, i can't get it to how it was before hand when i do.

I want to change keys that do the DPI increase/decrease and use them for something else, any other way to do this other than setpoint?

Don't think so. The setpoint software isn't that bad. :p

you can change the dpi or use windows sensitivity when you install setpoint so i can't really see the problem with installing it? you don't have to use setpoint sensitivity, this is what i did, i disabled the dpi changeing buttons and forced the mouse to use windows sensitivity and customize the dpi from there!

What i'm saying is when i install it, it totally messes up my sensitivity. It isn't the same, but if i can force it to use windows and the sens stays the same i'll give it another go.

I don't care about changing the DPI, i just want to be able to program the sensitivity buttons to do another job.

yeah you can do this, under one of the tabs (i forget which) you choose either setpoint or windows as sensitivity!
Ok as i remember doing that before but i still wasn't the same as the sensitivity without the setpoint :(

Anyway thanks for the replies, i'll see what i can do.
