Bit of an odd one here, hopefully someone has experienced the same thing and can tell me the solution!
Basically when I scroll my net browser (using Chrome but IE is no different so its not Chrome) using the sidebar on the right by putting my cursor on it and holding down the LH mouse button it jerks as it scrolls down, usually stopping with me having to repress the mouse button to pick up the sidebar again. Scrolling using the wheel is fine.
I've also experienced some slightly odd behaviour when clicking stuff as well, it sometimes seems to almost not repond or pick something else, not really do what it should have done...hard to explain. :(
This morning i picked my Chrome browser from the quick start bar and it opened 2 browser windows in one click, this leads me to think the LH mouse button is at fault possibly.

Is this a known fault with the MX518 in that the button(s) can go?
I will try my spare MS mouse to see if that produces the same results.

For info i'm using Win7 Pro on a Titan Goliath (o/c's supplied) PC. I've rebooted the PC and no change, its fully up to date and i'm not using the Logitech mouse control software and the mouse is 3 months old.

I've had the left button go on a MX510 and a MX518 before, I just contacted Logitech and they sent me a new one on both occasions.

Give them a ring, they have legendary customer services. :)

Classic symptom of the microswitch being worn. If it's out of warranty you can replace it yourself easily enough with a soldering iron, otherwise I'd give Logitech a bell.

This for me as well,on my third year of warranty and they replaced the mouse no problems..
