MX518 hertz

Hey,

I've been playing with the razer deathadder for quite a while and can not get used to the shape.

Now I don't know if this is complete placebo or whatever but the Mx518 feels really awkward to use and a bit laggy at 125hz as opposed to the deathadder which I was running at 500hz.

Basically i'm thinking of upping the hertz from 125 up to 500, just wondering if anyone has done this in the past, is it safe or is it likely to cause pc problems? Also i've found a few tools to do it with, but can anyone recommend one that works?

Robozzz, does the software you've found work with any mouse?

Setpoint does it for G5 rev 1 and 2 and G500, up to 1000hz. Dont know if it will work on a MX518 though

Yeah i'm sure it does cause i've heard of people doing it on both mx518 and 3.0, just wondering if it's really worth it though because i'm not sure if it causes any damage.

Yeah i've checked setpoint can't find any version that allows the mx518 to run at 500hz
