MX518 Installation problems

Hi guys,

I'm at work and I've just moved my tower onto my desk and since then my Logitech MX518 mouse will not work. I've tried uninstalling, uninstalling set point and rebooting 3 times. I don't understand why this mouse just won't install with or without the logitech software, it works on everyone elses system.

The error message that appears is the bubble in the taskbar saying its tried to install but there are problems and it may not work properly.

Can someone help me here please?

Hi mate, I have the same mouse.

2 things -

Have you tried installing from the device manager (update driver)

and are you plugging it into the pc via the mouse port or usb?

Hi - yeah It's USB im using and I've tried device manager and it says its unable to install/find driver

Check to see if it extracted the driver files on your pc, look here -

C:\Program Files\Logitech\SetPoint\Drivers\Win2K_XP

If you have those files go back to device manager and manually update, this time dont let it search automatically, u need to 'browse' to the file above.

Oh yeah, what driver version are u using. Mine are 3.1.0.0
