You might want to uninstall the Nvidia drivers and run DriverCleaner Pro first. ;)

i did that already but that is irrelevant seeing as there is absolutely nothing on the screen even during post dont u think? :(

yeah its all good when i stick my 7800 back in but when trying the 1800 again theres nuthin :(

You can't make a judgement about a whole company from one bad experience with a graphics card, sometimes it's just an unfortunate fact that poo happens.

Speak to OCuk on the phone tomorrow, they'll probably have you RMA it and send back a brand-spanking new and 100% functional card to replace it.

yeah i know but its still upsetting :(

I've tried everthing still no luck, do these cards draw a lot more power from the psu? because i think there is a power issue with my pc anyways.

Ive been thinkin about gettin a new psu but the spending must stop, so if they test the ati card to be ok i'll just have to keep the 7800 until i can afford a new gfx card aswell as a psu.

I've tried all the things suggested, its just like there is no signal being sent to my monitors at all :(

Even if it did work the cooler is so big i cant plug my front audio connections into the motherboard as they are directly underneath it!

Doesnt look like i'll be switching to ATI anytime soon... maybe on my next full build.

Did i mention it was LOUD! lol

That can happen to any manufacturer! Welcome to the world of computing! Lame excuse.

lame excuse for what? im not trying to make excuses for anything. If u read above u will see that I believe there is a problem somewhere else in my system and its probably not the card just an incompatibility issue.

Even if it did work i probly wouldnt be able to use it anyways as its too big for my current setup. We live and learn. Im just upset that my first impressions were bad that is all, no need to get arsy.

That's because it's at startup.

It boots into windows... just with no screen and it is louder than my 7800 not that that bothers me much its just a shame things didnt go smoother.
