Was just playing COD4 online when I suddenly got a bsod! I'm running XP and so PC just rebooted back to desktop before I had chance to read anything. I just checked event viewer and the error description is as follows:

Error code 1000000a, parameter1 048a1fe8, parameter2 0000001c, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 804fce82.

Don't suppose anyone has any idea what could have caused this? Also, what is a memory dump as i think this could have something to do with it?

Could be a number of things that caused it, memory dump should hopefully be able to point you in the right direction. A memory dump is windows creating a copy of what was in the ram at the time (i could be wrong though lol)

Its worth turning off auto-reboot so you can note down the exact bsod error code, which if common google usually throws up a handy direction of troubleshooting.

(Double checked im not breaking any rules posting this link) this thread explains and links to apps to help you debug it. http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35246
