Well i rang a place today for a "delivery driver" job. They are some US based company that imports hi-tech goods and sells em to their clients or along those lines.

Ive never been to an interview before so not really sure what to expect. Anyone have some tips? Im always really nervous in situations like this and im dreading it incase i mess it up.

Also have nowt to wear to it. What would people recommend going in? I think ill have to pop to the outlet village tonight and get shirt/trousers/shoes

Yer shirt/trousers/shoes would be fine. Maybe a tie and a nice jacket, the full suit is not really needed.

Not a clue what to expect, never had a job interview! Good luck thou.

hmmm a decent pair of blue stone wash jeans be alright to wear ye reckon?

In a word, no. In four words, Are you ****ing crazy?

loooool tru well im looking at any "decent" trousers most of em are baggy jeans or cords  this is proberly the smartest pair i have :p

Get a suit. If you’re over dressed its no so bad, people just think you’re someone important. If you undressed you could end up looking a bit of a fool.

Also, if you feel a bit overdressed in a suit, you can easily remove the jacket or even the tie if needs be. If you're underdressed compared to everyone else then you'll look a fool.

Wear a suit and give yourself some options.

Isn't a suit for a "delivery driver" job a bit much?

For my interview I just turned up in smart jeans and a smart top, still got the job. I would have felt way overdressed in a suit.

I certainly wouldn't buy one unless I was going for a much higher paid job than what I have now, but if you can rent one then it's not too expensive.

Just make sure you feel comfortable, you don't want to be sitting there wanting to loosen your tie etc.

Good Luck!

Ive been to baronjohn and bought a nice shirt and some trousers for tomorrow. Didnt go with a tie, i dont want to feel overdressed for me id rather be smart but comfortable otherwise ill feel awkred.

Its not just delivery driving by all accounts there sounds to more in it then that altho he didnt go into great detail over the phone. 15 applicants wanted supposely tho so fingers crossed :)

O yeah ive never had to wear a suit for anything before so no need to buy or rent one :P
