Hi folks

I purchased my first shuttle about 4-5 weeks ago, sn25p, funky little thing. Unfortunately I had to RMA it because it would not power up with my 7900GT installed. So got a new one sent to me, changed the SATA cables, powered on, couple of times I had to switch PSU off and on again to get it on. Got everything installed AMD X2 3800+, 7900GT, 2gb RAM, 74GB raptor and a 250GB seagate, DVD-ROM.
All working hunky dory games were flying I was very pleased. Now it takes muchos switching on switching off PSU, disconecting cables and reconnecting them again and maybe if I am lucky the damn thing will boot.

Not much good to me like that, So i feel another RMA coming. However after 2 shuttles and a lot of stress and wasted time I feel like getting a refund and going back to a tower PC. My spec is no different to a lot of others with shuttles and a lot of people are happy.

Anyone care to convince me to soldier on with shuttle? Is it worth the hassle?

Cheers

It is the graphics card that is causing it, unplug the power to the graphics card and it boots up fine.
I have a friend with exactly the same spec in his sn25p, and the graphics card works like a dream and doesn't have any power up problems.
Have tried with single stick ram, unplugging everything else except the graphics card but still get the same problem.

Also the PSU is the same one used in the sn26p which as we know is SLI capable.

Cheers

Thanks for the reply's much appreciated. I have indeed been on Sfftech.com, you may notice a near identical post on there under the user name 'ShootinJack'.
I have read through the above forums and taken on board all suggestions from previous posts. Still no such luck.

The shuttle will be sent back under RMA and hopefully will get a refend.
Have already ordered new mobo / psu / cooler.

Cheers
