I just wanted to come on here and have a rant; as there are some absolute numpties on Reddit, I was going to post on there, but I thought you guys would appreciate it more; this is what 20 years of experience of tinkering in the BIOS and building PCs get you and not being a wet blanket to be afraid to mess around with settings.

I'm seriously considering offering my services for money, but I don't think I could handle the headache of other people's stupidity (mainly people coming from console to PC).

Everyone saying wah wah wah, it's crashing wah, learn about your computer ffs. I've had this from Oct 2022 on release (from OcUK I believe as well).

but OK two factors that helps, it has a lapped IHS and has been delidded, it also helps that it's a very good bin. (1.388v at 5.8Ghz)

Lots of tinkering with voltages, LLC and VF points; it's not even undervolted unless you coun't tuning the LLC! I've basically done Intel's work for them.

Screw the latest garbage BIOS, tried it (Z790 Extreme has dual bios), voltage going up to 1.5v, RAM timings and voltages no longer worked, wouldn't boot, so I just binned that BIOS and went back to the older one.

Hardware: Oct 2022 release 13900k, Asus Z790 Maximus Extreme with 2102 BIOS (from April 2024, and yep if it isn't broken, don't fix it, for me anyway), Corsair 420mm AIO (I'm not even on a custom loop), 2x32GB Corsair Dominator DDR5 at 6800MHz at super tuned timings (that was painfully slow).

Benchmarks:
Geekbench 5 - the most recent one https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/cpu/9077139
And the rest:

No one should be paying for your services considering you think 6800 C32 is ‘super tuned’

Your post missed the point completely, people (albeit the actual number is exaggerated imo) were having issues at stock.

I'm confused. Are you ranting about Intel producing broken silicon for 2 generations or that people use forums to seek help to learn how to tune there PC's?

2x32GB not 2x16GB, good luck getting 64GB running on a 4 dimm board with those timings.

Yeah that is the point I'm making.

It has nothing to do with us who replied using AMD, its a KNOWN FACT that intel 13th and 14th gen had stability issues, why would you even try and pretend its anything else.

Try doing it with 4x16Gb @1T, I'd say 4 DIMMS at 6400 cl32 was more impressive, took a solid 10 minutes to

Are you going on reddit and telling everyone with a crashing 13th-14th gen CPU that they're a numpty?

If so, I'm not overly surprised they don't appreciate your l33t skillz.

I'd get downvoted to oblivion but couldn't be arsed anyway, I've helped a few people out; I honestly don't even know why I bother going on there, the amount of bots on there (and probably paid ones) is insane as you can find the exact same comment, on multiple subreddits.

Can any Apex owner who's posted those timings above, show me a 2x32GB RAM config as I'm curious to see how far they can clock it, I've not seen anyone try that, everyone goes for the 2x16GB or 2x24GB due to single sided DIMMs. By the way I had 2x16GB at 7600Mhz on this 4-dimmer with around 52-53ns latency but I needed the 2x32GB for work as I use it for work more than I do gaming.
