Damn thing tops out at x50 :(

Need a CPU that goes higher...

not many will get to 5Ghz without silly volts

Nothing silly about those volts, they are well below intel documented max.

Op, is that the highest you have got the chip unstable? The highest I've seen mine is 5453 GHZ, but my cooling is nowhere near enough to start testing real stability, I ask because later in the month I get to join the MM, maybe we could do a swapsie deal, if you are really needing a faster chip. :)

Well according to OC

***OVERCLOCKING GUIDELINES***

- Do not exceed 1.425v core voltage, doing so could limit lifespan of the CPU
- Aim to keep temperatures below 70c underload if at all possible
- Do not overclock with BCLK, again doing so could limit lifespan of the CPU
- Recommended memory voltage is 1.50v, so make sure to run your memory at 1.50v, higher than 1.60v could limit lifespan of the CPU
- These recommendations come from OcUK and Intel, your warranty is un-affected but we highly recommend you adhere to the above to make sure your CPU lifespan is un-affected
- All Sandybridge CPU's worldwide should be run at the above or lower voltages, no higher!

^^ yes, and according to Offical intel documents 1.52 is the absolute safe 24/7 voltage.

Edit: Obviously one would need adequate cooling.

Firstly, not many will get to 5Ghz without silly volts, like you have

And why are your temps reading 0?

I was wondering this to, very strange

I guess their is a problem with the mobo sensors, as it is affecting all the programs for core temps on the CPU.

250w Single Stage Phase Unit, My load temp during Intel Burn Test is roughly -25c and -40c idle.

Looking at that table, 1.52 volts is for the vid, which is not the same as vcore, so I would say the limit of 1.42 still stands

VID is completely different to Max Vcore, Max Vcore is also ALWAYS higher then max VID.

Yea x50 is the max the chip will boot at :(

But it only needs 1.401v under load for 5Ghz which is a very low Vcore..

I'm after a faster one :)
