My 290x has a broken fan...

Just got my 290x today from the deal last week, an Asus DirectCU II, and one of the fans is clearly catching on something and making an awful noise.

Yea deffo sounds like its catching on something. Also sounds like could be something wrong with the bearings in the fan. Not sure. I would RMA if i was you cos i know if it was me id be too tempted to try and fix it my self lol.

I'm definitely RMAing it.

I've turned the fan around reallllly slow and I can't see it catching on anything obvious.

Sounds as if its partially clipping the aluminium heat sink behind it.

I wouldn't worry about it, yes it's an inconvenience but it happens and OcUK will sort you out

It was picked up on Monday, the replacement was delivered today.

I can't test it tonight unfortunately, but just wanted to update to show a very quick and impressive turnaround. Let's just hope I have two working fans this time! I'm sure I will..
