My 360 keeps getting the overheating lights

Wicked! :)

You gonna have fun on Uncharted! While not being in the same league graphically as Crysis, it's the best looking console game i've played. Later levels are stunning!

I bet 1080p blu ray looks immense. Only got a measly 720p here. Need to by a new TV soon.

I've been playing Warhawk mostly! Finally got my first kill. :p

I didn't have RGB full range HDMI turned on though so just enabled that! I heard that helped a lot of people with getting better picture qualitay.

I've only got Casino Royale at the moment which looks pretty good but it's in a letterbox :( Gonna buy something else tonight I think. :D

I have got RGB full on. It helped with the contrast i found and made the colour depth better.

I can't even play Warhawk now, everyone else is too good!

It's very TV dependant from what I've read, I found on mine that a lot of detail was lost in the darker areas when using it - or maybe that's how it's intended but I don't like it. :p

EDIT: actually, just been reading about it and it's intention is that - to give darker blacks and brighter whites, overall contrast is actually much better.

I know people way to overheat a 360 to make it break but my nephew had 3 red rings and was told to wrap it in a towel and leave it on for 20 mins. He did this and the red lights went out.

I really am shocked at the whole 360 dying issue and how it's just become accepted now. I realise that there's bugger all you can do, but Microsoft should be crucified for it! Mass recall and free replacement? Why should consumers have to suffer with this kind of shoddy crap, they're not exactly cheap? The funny thing is, Microsoft are bigger than ever and the 360 market is huge, this whole issue has hardly put a dent in it.

It's pretty sad when a company can get away with this kind of poor customer service.

to be fair to MS they extended the warranty on the consoles to 3 years for any Red Ring fault. It seems pointless for them to recall machines when there is no dangerous fault. Plus people have had launch day consoles not die. (Yet)

True, but then again that was the least they could do. They obviously rushed the machine out onto shelves to get as big a headstart on the ps3 as possible. Of course there are many people who's machines haven't died, but the amount you hear about it happening is truly shocking for a £300 console. I guess I'm just abit annoyed that it's become so accepted and it doesn't seemed to have tarnished their reputation at all, especially considering the sheer numbers of machines dying. Makes you wonder what kind of tactics Microsoft will employ in the next round...

I've just turned super white / full range hdmi on now for now, can't notice much difference but I'm too lazy to directly compare atm. :p

Cheers for that email Josh, will look into getting one of them just after christmas!

I bought Ninja Gaiden Sigma earlier from a shop for £30, thought I might as well! :p
