Im new at this and i have managed to overclock to 2.5Ghz using a Freezer 64 Pro in CPU-Z it says :
Core Speed 2500.1 - .2
Multiplier x10.0
HTT 250.0MHz
Voltage 1.360

Is this all alrite anything need to be changed PS how do you post scrrens on OCUK forum ?????

That isn't a bad clock at all. I have mine running at 2500 as well. Check out this thread for some other clocks with the CPU - LINKAGE

If you want to upload an image, save it as a jpeg / bmp etc and upload it to imageshack. A direct link will be given to allow you to display the picture, all you need to do is wrap this url in
tags.

// EDIT // if you do indeed have that running 2500 MHz at 1.36 VCore then it is a pretty good clocker - push for more :). I had to put mine up to 1.4V to get this OC.

looks like we have a similar chip :)

Currently running my new X2 at 250x10 with 1.34v

Whats your stepping? this one is:
ADA3800 DAA5CD
CCBWE 0601XPMW

Also what temps are you getting mate?

Idle this is hovering late 30's early 40's

I'm not sure what sort of temps these can handle, hopefully should be ok like this.

Cooled by an Artic 64 Pro atm while I collect last bits for my wc :D

That is excellent. No problems there at all. Looks to me as though your Manchester clocks better than my Toledo :(

@IamMed
Using an Arctic 64 Pro I would expect your temps to be far lower than that! I have a Zalman CNPS9500 with my chip (2500 @ 1.4 VCore) and idle I have about 30/31C and fully loaded (both cores are always folding - see sig) I average about 38C. You may consider reseating the heatsink or looking at your case cooling - although if your going to H2O soon then it isn't important.

As to what temps the CPU can take, over 50 is getting too hot for my liking, although it wouldn't be doing any damage for quite a way over that probably.

tbh, the artic cooler pro is horrid, it was crap on my winchester too, I had similar performance from a £5 TT cooler.

Idles around 35c under load it floats between 48-53 in smart gaurdian.

Air flow should be fine, cables are pretty neat and case is pretty good, mate who had this Artic before me complained it wasn't perfroming great, he replaced it with a thermaltake 948 and dropped quite a bit apparently, so lets hope water shows better results :)

Jus had a look over on XS and this stepping seems to get 2.8-3ghz on water, so looking promiseing :D

Good stuff! It does look like an amazing clocker that chip - 2600 @ 1.36V !!!

With your stress testing, you are doing both cores aren't you? Get several windows of superpi and prime95 running. If you're into gaming, play an hour or so on the most demanding game you have. Games often reveal instability where stress tests don't.

Both cores pic i havnt stessd it yet i have Prim95 but how u use it ?? i have run half life 2 4 3 hours with no probs :D :D

You haven't been stress testing !?!?!?! and you're saying you're stable  !

With Prime95 you have to go Options | Torture Test and run some of the tests in there - I normally do the one for maximum heat. At the same time, get SuperPi running in two windows (so three in total). Do the calculation for 32M with SuperPi.

Have this running for as long a possible (e.g. overnight). If the PC is still up and running after that then you can consider yourself stable.

Other than those programs, there are many others - S&M is good. Search the forums / google.

The test will stop and it will tell you that you aren't stable in the log it does. On SuperPi it will also stop and put up a pop-up window saying so.
