are my 4870's in crossfire past it nowadays.i thought they were still great cards.not sure now.is there a better option with the same power as both in crossfire?
 
5870 will match it and game depending will be faster than the 4870's and a 480 will outright perform it. TBH if you're not fussed about DX11 then the 4870's can still hold thier own for sometime yet, maybe wait until the ATI and Nvidia refresh.
