Hiya everyone, this is my first post :)

Right ive recently bought a new pc, which today includes a new gfx card:

AMD Dual Core 4200Ghz @ 2.2
BFG 8800GTX 768mb *Not Overclocked*
DDR2 GeIL 2GB Low Latency ram
OCZ StealthXStream 600w power supply
Motherboard : Gigabyte Model - GA - M55PLUS-S3G rev A2

Previously removed my 7600GT and un-installed it.

Put in my 8800GTX wired it all up and away i went. Everything seemed fine it installed the drivers and then i updated them with the latest from Nvidia. Opened up my Counter Strike Source Video Settings to find that its recommending :

It might just be me being picky, but my old gfx card used to run on those settings =\

The x16 is available to choose from, but those are the recommended settings.

Also on crysis *I know is a very demanding gfx game* when i ran the optimum performance scan, it set everything at medium ?

Any help would be great, Thanks.

What you fail to mention is how these games run when you ingore the reccomended settings and put everything up high.

If they run well then just ignore the programs and set what you want.

its just recommended lol. if you dont like what it recommend then dont use those settings. you arent forced to:) you should comfortably be able to push all those settings up to max bar the fsaa, depending on what resolution your running ect

I did do, i put everything up high and ignored it. But it sempt abit laggy on corners ?? I'm not bitching as such, i just thought that paying good money for a gfx card would mean top results :(

This is what I mean, the latest games lag on high even when overclocked and people are paying good money for hardware.
