my 939 lanparty is DDR1 but will DDR2 fit in my lanparty motherboard if not then
what is the best & fastest mem to get for OCing, which is able to go beond 400mhz with out to much fuss. Can I get mem DDR1 with more than 400mhz.

no you cant put ddr2 into that motherboard. but why would you want to?

yes you can get ram faster than 200mhz (remember its DDR so while it "runs" at 400, it is actually 200mhz doubled and in line with your HTT speed on an A64.)

getting faster ram wont help you too much. what you need is MORE ram.

easiest stuff to get hold of these days is the crucial balistix PC4000.

most sticks do arround 250 3-3-3-8 1T @2.7-2.8v (the 5B-F chips used now are not as hot as the 5B-D ones but also dont go anything like as far on average)

o_O I'm lucky then. Shame my opty 165's core is a crap clocker and the machine is only used for data housing and game server hosting

I would recommend OCZ for DDR1, some BH-5 or TCCD will do you fine
