So i just ordered a Nvidia 9800GT and im not sure if i completely trust the site i bought it from, its a Xpertvision 9800 GT, all the Xpertvision 9800 Gt's are green everywhre i look but mine is red and mine does not have a HD output on a tv out and 2 DVi. The packaging wasn't really sealed is this normal, maybe i was wrong about the HD output does anyone know if the board i have is actually a 9800GT?

Get it in your computer and download GPU-Z. It will tell you everything to know about your card.

Also post some pictures of it and its packaging on here (assuming there are no competitor logos anywhere).

Thanks for the reply, i cant get it in my computer yet as the rest of my system hasnt arrived, the packaging says its a 9800GT but theres nothing on the actual card to tell me its a 9800GT, does anyone know how i can tell what it is without putting it in my computer?? :D

Yes but every other Expertvision 9800GT i have seen is green mine is red they are the same shape same everything execpt the colour. Maybe i have the 8800GT was that red?

Ok so im pretty sure its the middle one Here

I am guessing the sonic is better? The box has no details of sonic at all. I have heard that the 9800 ocerclocks better than the 8800.

The Sonic is the overclocked version but the 8800GT 512 and 9800GT are both the G92 core with 112 stream processors .... should be no difference in clocking except that you probably got a better cooler than stock.

Just had a thought on the card there is normally a little sticker from the manufacturer stating their product code and model number. Could you see what that says (its normally on the back).

Other than that without seeing an output from gpu-z its hard to say which card it is (if there are no signs on the card itself - especially when the 8800GT and 9800GT look the same). TBH though if it came in the box and looksl ike the one on their website (as shown in your link) it is most likely a 9800GT. :)
