My afternoon mod!

Heres a pic. Looks great. The case has NO green lights in it, havent got a clue why it looks as though it has  . Made an extension with a molex plug / socket. Currently connected inside my case, thats until i get my 3x molex backplate for a pci slot.

I like the red there Oxygen, very nice colour with the rest of the room. Really deep colour.

Some nice mode there lads  . I did something similar a while back using the exact same method to make and under shelf light. I needed it to light my keyboard at night when i have the room light off.

This is where my cathode plugs into the back of my case, makes it easier to plug them in rather than running a wire into the case. Also note theres room for 3 molexs for further mods.

Instead of using the crappy plastic switch i got with the cathode set i decided to buy a proper light switch from screwfix and attach that to my desk. Again i opted for the 3 way switch so that i have room for further mods.

I have the same backplate for the molexs. Very very handy. Just need to lengthen the cable for it. Do you not find switching cathodes on and off makes some really bad popping noises on pc speakers?

I too have a switch on my desktop, but its not for lights. Its for switching all the pc power off. Basically a kill switch for my extension. The phone, router and modem are on a different extension and the power stays on. What a really want is a 'we belong dead' switch instead . . .
You can see it just under the monitor sunk into the desk on the left. Really difficult finding one rated at 13amps, modified a socket faceplate cover, bit of black hammerite and bob used to be your uncle.

You've started somthing now, soon every user will have done this ! :D

I've done it aswell, all the pics on here look great guys, nice jobs!

I thought i'd try somthing different, and well... stuck them behind my desk

I think I should have put them onto the monitor like everyone els has, but nvm!

I'll try and get a pic up, using my phone as the digi cam is on holidays with a family member

ive got a spare UV cathode and all my stuff is white (monitor, apple keyboard mouse mat etc) so i thort il see what effect it had and I wish i never had!!!
Im in my uni dorms i now im to scared to touch anything, ive never seen so many stains:( but it did make the keyboard and all the poster in my room glow :D but still its not a gd idea to do it with UV

Already done this mod, but just taken a picture just this minute 2 show you :)

I had a problem with the box and lights falling off. After 2 different types of sticky pads i now use these. . . .
