Fugly or no?

The Scythe Ninja heatsink, pretty much taking up half the space of the system

Overall shot of the system

lots of space to work with, the wheels are a bonus since I can move it back and forth. Also got the Sycthe HDD Silent Box which gets boiling hot my Seagate SATA 300gigger can reach 60c ! But I dont hear that disc access noise no more, and theres an accoustic Dustproof 120mm Case fan on the Scythe Ninja which actually doesnt get dust much, that comes with a 3 speed option headers mines on the white one thats running at 5volts so cant hear the fan (X2-4400 @ 35-40c idle/50-56c with Quiet n Cool on)

Overall pleased:)

Ugly. :p

Great case, but ugly. Stick a decent front on the Eclipse and it would be the best case out probably. Not the Mirage though, that is even worse!

You've got no fans it that case!!!!!

You need 1 in the front and 1 in the back. Pretty much right now please. I'm not surprised your HDD gets toasty.

That's incredible - and it still hasn't expired from the heat! That Scythe fan must be pretty oomphy as you've only got hot dead air in there otherwise.

I shoulda taken a pick from the other side, theres a 120mm Accoustic fan at the front. I dont feel the need for another 120mm fan on the back cos theres one of the heatsink blowing it all out anyhow.

My Scythe doesnt get that hot even, and if I go to the blue adaptor on my fan I can get 33c idle/45c max temps on cpu alone.

TBH that pic doesn't do the case justice, photos always show every dust fragment due to the flash. In the flesh it looks jet black and looks nice and smart. Granted it would be nice in alloy but it would probably have a hefty price tag then, id be prepared to pay but a lot of people wouldn't. I think if they made an aftermarket alloy front they would sell like hotcakes.

Nice rig BTW :) .

When I did the feasability study on this it was going to cost in excess of £3000 to make the prototype, then another £3000 to make the first 100 front panels. So, to break even they would have been £60 each not including delivery or anything. I asked for a list of people to buy one and I got 6 (six) tentative replies. Two of those wanted it in funky anodised colours and one wanted a door! Everyone wanted to see it before placing a firm order.

Now, for me to make a realistic profit, I would have to wholesale them out to people like OcUK and then they would want a margin. You end up with a customer delivered price of about £110 per piece. The economics just don't stack up unfortunately.

Yeah the flash was a bit of a prob, the last 3rd pic u can see its smooth dark black and it looks a lot better in the flesh.

But I will agree the Front looks out of place with the overall quality of the case, its a wonderful case with tons of space and features. The 2x 120mm fans front and back are excellent.

I love all that space and the wheels :)

Thats why I love my Eclipse... I've got 4 HDs, a Ninja and countless other bits inside but it still looks empty in there! :D
