My AMD VS Intel

Sooooo.

What's better out of the builds below...Speculation is Welcome

AMD:

INTEL:

Still trying to figure out what to go for when I build...

Overclocking CPU Only (hence water cooling, and I hear them contained water cooling units are <3)

even if it wasnt overclocked it would still be faster, here a comparision betwwen the i5 750 and 965BE- http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/102?vs=109 so the i7 760 at stock will be a little faster again.

I have always liked my AMD but at only that price difference you have to go with the Intel.

Won't they swap out the Ram for Reaper if I just ring them when I eventually order it O_o?
For more money obviously....Even though the reaper ram is 30p cheaper ^^

The RAM won't make 'that' much difference. I'd love to see comparisons, wonder if it would in the order of 1%.

i wouldn't buy pre-oc'd, because i enjoy doing it myself. It is good having the guarantee that you will reach 4Ghz though. It really comes down to personal preference. If you want to swap the RAM over, you could just ask ocuk to do it in the bundle for you... they almost certainly will.

Intel but the socket will be dead by the end of the year due to Sandybridge being moved forward.

if in doubt he can get a 970, which will probably be faster than 1155 anyway
