Hey guys I have released an Android app. It is called LoL TV (now Legend TV). It is a source for gaming news and streams (mainly League of Legends) and is in the beta phase. A future update will include media from Starcraft2, WoW, MW3, Fifa and a few more. Requires 4.0 and higher.

This is a partly a university project and I am trying to get as many download hits/ reviews as I can to showcase it.

It is a very small download and also free so I would be ever so grateful if anyone from the forum could download it and tell me via a marketplace review or on this thread how it worked for them and their particular handset.

Marketplace download here:
LoL TV Beta (now League TV)

All feedback good or bad is welcome :)

****UPDATE****

The University Project is due on Friday so please please please if anyone could download and review my app I would REALLY appreciate it, I will even donate a pound to charity for each review or something :D the more reviews I get the more marks I will get for testing :)

Legend TV - Play Store

Thankyou

I'm not into LoL (watch tons of SC2 though if you decide to add that :p) but I'll download it tomorrow and post back how it works :).

thanks very much look forward to hearing from you :) I should have mentioned a future update will include media from Starcraft2, WoW, MW3, Fifa and a few more. Have added it to the post also :)

Just downloaded it and its very good. Slight problem on my Nexus 10 is that you can't change the quality, the box with different resses opens then quickly closes after.

Thanks man :) yeh there have been a few issues raised with the flash player, I am looking into finding a more stable method of connection to the player that will hopefully improve things. Appreciate your time.

I've told my kids about it

Much appreciated :D

If any of you have time please rate the app on the marketplace with your thoughts :)

That's just a problem with flash I think, if you keep pressing the quality button it should eventually stay open. Happens to me on certain sites (Gomtv mainly, twitch seems to work fine now for me) with the quality selector :).

Edit: You need a G+ account to review stuff now don't you? I'll rate it tomorrow, don't want a G+ account though :(.

Thanks man :) Sometimes updating the version of flash can help. The newest handsets have stopped being shipped with flash as stock but as with most things it is fixed with a simple download. The chances are most people could have an older version of flash, there is a link in my app to download a more recent one so it could be worth a try :)

good app, nice layout definitely worth a download but would like to see the extra games in there soon.

Just downloaded it. This is on the Note 2 and the latest version of Flash Player.

The Twitter/Facebook things seem to work fine, although I don't have accounts to sign in and check properly.

The stream lists work, and streaming/selecting quality all works fine until I try and go full screen, the app just force closes as soon as I press full screen :(.

Streaming Twitch in the browser (either on their site or embedded on TeamLiquid.net) works fine full screen, I'm watching their IEM SC2 stream on it atm.

I'll rate it 5* anyway incase it helps get more downloads/testers :).

Edit: You can't even rate apps without a G+ account anymore, sorry :(.

Gave it a quick go, I must say this is better than the official TwitchTV app, the stream isn't behind by a few seconds and the layout is nicer. Can't wait for you to add other games to it :).

Thanks for the feedback man, all issues noted and hopefully fully sorted for may :)

glad you like it mate :) thanks for giving it a go! what games in particular would you like to see in there? Gathering some market research!

Starcraft II, although tournaments are moving to Heart of the Swarm so you don't have to worry about the Wings of liberty game.

Cant you use something else than flash?

Cosidering its not installable for non techy types on android

I will be looking at this more in the upcoming months, HTML 5 player will be my end goal. HTML 5 like flash is still not completely supported by all browsers so it is also problematic but as time goes on, less so than flash.

In the next week I will be upgrading to a more stable connection to the flash player. In the mean time the only option if you don't have flash is to download it from the link I provided and then run the file through the phones built in downloads browser :) it's easier than it sounds trust me!

Thanks mate I appreciate your feedback :)

Well, you need to have "Unknown Sources" ticked too, so you can install third party apps that aren't from the market. Either way it's very easy though :).

Twitch's HTML5 player is horrible quality :(.

Edit: Hmm, their HTML5 player seems to be decent quality now :).
