Figured i'd stick up some pics I took when building my new Antec 902 this weekend, apologies for the poor quality cam pics and blurry few, taken off my old camera phone

Parcelforce guy woke me up at 7:50am on a SATURDAY, wasn't too bothered though as he brought me these goodies:

Artic Cooler 7 fitted on the board, figured i'd do this prior to the board going in as it initially looked a tight squeeze

Distance between the bottom of the cooler and the Asus heatsink was rather close lol

Bit of a mess

Velociraptor and Samsung F1 in their cages, grrrr!!

4870 Fitted, but was VERY close to the EPU heatsink lol

Card itself looks really well in a black interior case

Bit of RAM bashing

Back of the crappy old Soundblaster card is a few mm's from the heatink on the RAM

Ultra blur time!

Couple of niggly things really ...

1) The case fans and gpu fan is extremely quiet, but the artic cooler 7 fan was out of the box spinning up at 100% so was deafening lol ... uses Asus's FanTweak to drop it down to near silent

2) Couldnt get the RAM to run at full 1066MHz despite mine and a few others off here's best efforts ... just leaving it sat at 800MHz at the moment

3) The 2 front USB ports dont quite give enough power for some of my usb powered external hard disks ... not sure why though ... some work, some dont, so have to use some at the rear

Overall very pleased with the build ... it's extremely cool inside, and has my CPU sat down at 35º idle ... love the build quality too!

It looks like such a respectable case until the lights are on =(

nice build. get that Q9650 going at more than 3ghz though, you massive girl :p

Nice build. Never understood why Antec insist on putting the watercooling holes vertically at that position on the back of the case. If you mount the rad on the back, it's just awkward getting the tubing to the radiator without it kinking unless you make it come back on itself.

yeah it's a good board, cant seem to get the RAM at full speed though using the BIOS ...

I got the kit last Saturday, and the BIOS on it was like 8 months old, so had to do a flash at first ...

Can see the pics now am at home on my own pc :)

Been frittering about tonight myself with the 902, had to test a psu, and then spent rest of the night trying to salvage my pc frm death, but it works now.

Anyhoo...

Its mostly my old kit going into the 902, e6600, gigabyte dq6, 4gb reaperX, 4870 and a modular psu.

I have a watercooling kit as well I may try and fit, If i can suss out how to get the crazy cool off my gigabyte board.. this weekend should be fun.

Got the Veris for £50, its online from anywhere between £50 and £120. Waterloop off the mm for £45
