MY ASUS A3E WONT POWER UP PAST DETECT OF HDD & CDROM

The HDD Is not displayed in the BIOS and it has an IDE HDD in it, will not go further than the first screen that comes up saying MOBO brand "American Megatrends" can anyone help ideas & suggestions please...

Sounds screwed to me...

Make sure there arean't two devices on the same IDE channel using master or slave. Make sure the optical drive if there is one on that channel is set to slave.

Other than try another IDE cable or your mobo is b0rked tbh.

Dont think it can see the IDE HDD From the laptop that Ive plugged into this machine it can see the SCSI HDD...
